Guthichour rural municipality of Jumla has started a four-day paragliding festival to promote the municipality as a destination for adventure tourism. Eight paragliders are flying at the same time in the paragliding festival held in the bowl-shaped Gutichour Patan.

According to the rural municipality, the festival is becoming more effective as internal and external tourists go from Jumla headquarters Khalanga to Se-Foksundo in Dolpa.

Tourists are also interested in paragliding to observe the beauty of Guthichaur Patan. Village Chairman Dan Bahadur Budha said that the festival was organized by commercial flights as the geography of Guthichaur is suitable for paragliding. He said, "Gutichour in Jumla is suitable for paragliding." Now we have made a plan to focus the attention of domestic and foreign tourists.'

One can easily observe hundreds of flowers, herbs, and plants in Patan from the paraglide. Organizers have stated that the beauty of Patan can be seen with that.

The festival was inaugurated on Friday with a flight.
