The Nepali Army conducted free health check-ups at Prashanti Old Age Home in Surkhet. On Saturday, a health check was conducted with the food items collected from the north-west Pritna headquarters of the Nepali Army and its subordinate units.

Anupjang Thapa of the North West Pritna Headquarters said that free health check-ups and food were supported with the aim of helping disabled and destitute senior citizens.

The army has established a food bank and has been handing over the food items needed for one person by each unit to various social organizations that are providing shelter to people. The army conducts a free health check-up of the senior citizens in the Ashram on the last Saturday of every month. 29 senior citizens dependent on

Ashram have also been given health checks and medicine distribution. Bhavna Rajyalakshmi Thapa, advisor of Soldiers' Wits Association, said that when the need arises in the ashram, the army is not humble and needs everyone's help.
