The Rapti highway, blocked since Friday morning by landslides due to incessant rain, has come into operation after four hours. The road was opened after JCB cleared the landslide in the border area of Salyan and Dang.
After the road was blocked, stranded passenger vehicles are moving towards their destination. After incessant rains, not only the landslides that have gone away but also the stones and mud accumulated in other places have been cleaned.
Rapti highway was reopened from 12 noon after the JCV removed the stones piled up on the road not only in Ramri but also in other places by the river, Police Inspector Resam Bahadur Khatri said. Even if the vehicle is in operation after removing the landslide, the risk is still the same, so the police urges you to drive the vehicle with high caution.
The Madan Bhandari highway, which has been blocked for more than 24 hours due to incessant rain, has not opened yet. He said that due to incessant rains, a house was destroyed in the district and a lot of damage was done to the rural roads.
