The election of Independent Students Union (SWAVIU) in Midwest University Surkhet has been postponed. The election scheduled to be held on August 28 was postponed after a writ was filed in the court along with the dispute.
On Wednesday, the students of the Faculty of Science and Technology under the university filed a petition in the High Court saying that they were deprived of voting.
The Surkhet High Court has issued an order to postpone the Swabiyu elections until further orders.
The court has issued an order for both parties to appear before the Surkhet High Court on October 6th. The election has been postponed for the second time.
