Five people including the driver were injured in a jeep accident in Salyan. Karnali Pradesh Jeep number 02001J0035 coming from Sharda Municipality-1 Srinagar to Khalanga in the district met with an accident near Maisepani at 5.20 pm on Thursday.
Among those injured in the accident are the driver Bharat Prasad Sharma, aged 30, resident of Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality-1, Daile, his wife Kavita Sijapati, aged 22, Sagar Acharya, aged 27, resident of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality-17, Kaski, Dipayal, Manmohan Singh, aged 32, resident of Silagadi Municipality-1, Doti. Police Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri, Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, who is 21 years old Poonam Sharma and lives in Virganj Municipality-13 of Parsa, Khadka, said.
Police inspector Khatri informed that the injured were immediately rescued and taken to the district hospital Salyan and are currently undergoing treatment. He informed that the jeep fell about 50 meters down from the road into a ravine. He said that while returning from side view, the accident happened out of control and the incident is being further investigated. There were five people in the jeep.
