State level public education conference has started in Karnali. An education conference has started in Birendranagar to make an action plan for the improvement of public education. The conference, which started on Tuesday, will be held for three days.
Addressing the conference, the Chief Minister of Karnali Province Government, Yamlal Kandel, made a commitment to fulfill the obligations according to the responsibilities taken in the current situation. He also promised to improve the weaknesses of the provincial government pointed out by this conference.
Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari expressed the view that school improvement activities should be carried out carefully. He made it clear that the educational situation has deteriorated due to political activities in the school. He also said that the local curriculum in schools is oriented towards imported culture instead of covering topics like our traditions and culture.
The conference organized by the National Campaign for Education was attended by representatives of development partner organizations related to education.
