The Rapti and Madan Bhandari highways, which were blocked by landslides after incessant rains, have resumed operation after 12 hours. After the JCB cleared the landslide, the blocked Rapti and Madan Bhandari highways became operational after 12 hours.
After incessant rain since Thursday evening, Tulsipur-Kalimati-Surkhet road under Madan Bhandari highway was blocked since 8 pm due to landslides in Chorkhola, Ramri of Kapurkot Rural Municipality of the district, Rapti Highway and Kalimati Rural Municipality-4 Tateli. .
After the JCB cleared the landslide, the vehicles that were stopped since the night have now gone to their destination with passengers, according to Information Officer of District Police Office Salyan, Prini Resham Bahadur Khatri. Although the JCB has removed the landslide, he has asked the businessmen to drive with high caution as the road is slippery, narrow and dangerous.
