Cancer treatment is now going to be done at Karnali Province Hospital. BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital Bharatpur has signed an agreement to extend the service to Surkhet Pradesh Hospital, and the treatment will be done from Surkhet.
On behalf of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Bharatpur, Executive Director Dr. Shivji Poudel and Director Dumbar Khadka signed the agreement on behalf of Surkhet Provincial Hospital. The treatment service will start from October 13. In the agreement, it has been mentioned that BP Koirala Memorial Hospital should provide services including external, internal and medical treatment in Surkhet Provincial Hospital.
It is mentioned in the agreement that Surkhet Provincial Hospital should provide necessary infrastructure. Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel approved the National Cancer Control Strategy 2024-30 when he assumed office on June 31. which aims to expand cancer treatment services to all seven provinces.
