Kalikot-Jumla road section of Karnali highway has been blocked due to landslides. The Kalikot-Jumla road section was blocked due to a landslide in Chaukhola in Kalikot on Monday after incessant rain.
Information Officer of District Police Office Kalikot, Poshan Thapa, said that the road was completely blocked after a landslide along with Gharjatra stones fell near Khadachakra-10 Chowkhola in Kalikot. "Landslides have been removed from other places that can be thrown by dozers," he said, "There is a situation of explosion due to the falling of Gharjatra stones in Chaukhola." The landslide blocked the Karnali highway since Monday morning, Pragya Ganesh Nepali said. He informed that the road will be opened after blasting stones in coordination with the Nepalese army. 
Krishna Bahadur Shahi, who had walked from Surkhet, said that they were stranded on the road after a landslide with large stones fell on the road in Kalikot. Road Division Office Jumla said that although JCV was sent to remove the landslide from the highway, the work could not be done due to the large stones.
