Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel will take the vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly on Monday.
Chief Minister Kandel is going to take the second vote of confidence from the state assembly. Earlier, after the government was formed in alliance with the Maoist Center, he took the vote of confidence.
But after the alliance of Congress and UML was formed in the union, the same alliance was formed in the province. Chief Minister Kandel is going to take the second vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly with the support of the Congress.
Jivraj Budhathoki, Secretary of the Provincial Assembly informed that Chief Minister Kandel will take a vote of confidence on Monday, July 21.
In the 40-member Karnali State Assembly, Chief Minister Kandel must get 21 votes for the vote of confidence. Kandel's party, CPN UML, has 10 MPs in the Provincial Assembly, while the party supporting him has 14 MPs from the Nepali Congress. In addition, there are 13 MPs from CPN Maoist Center, 1 each from RAPPR and CPN Unified Socialists, and 1 independent MP.
