The identity of the dead body found three days ago in Rolpa's Madikhola has been revealed. The police have confirmed that the dead body is that of 76-year-old Birsingh Gharti Magar of Madi rural municipality-6 Korchabang Sariga village.

According to the police, the dead body was found in the Madi river at Rolpa Municipality-7 Bhalana on Monday, August 31st around 5:30 pm. After the locals informed the police, a police team including the locals discovered the dead body of the old man. A team led by police sub-inspector Keshar Bahadur Ghartimar from Madichour police station, which was assigned to search for the dead body, found the body of an old man in the Madi river.

More police were deployed under the leadership of Police Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi from the District Police Office to further investigate the incident. The team found the old man's body stuck on a rock on the banks of Madi river. The body was found on Tuesday and handed over to relatives after identification.

After the body was brought to Rolpa hospital, the deceased's daughter, 40-year-old Bishnu Magar, a resident of Madi Rural Municipality-5, identified her. The police said that after the identification of the dead body, the autopsy was done and it was handed over to the relatives. A few days ago, the elderly woman left home to visit the village but has not been contacted since then, the family said.
