The parliamentarians have put pressure on the parliamentary party leader Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary to make a woman minister from the Congress in the Lumbini state government. On Sunday, they met leader Chaudhary and pressured him to make a woman minister on behalf of his party.

Since the establishment of the state, the Congress has not made a woman minister in Lumbini. "This year, we have talked to the parliamentary party leader that a woman minister should be sent, and the Congress should show the inclusion of women in practice," said Giri, who resigned as a Congress whip on Monday. In Lumbini, which has 12 ministries, Congress and UML have shared 5 ministries each. Two ministries have been kept to cover small parties . On behalf of UML, there are ministers in four ministries including Acharya as the Chief Minister. Badshah Kurmi, who became the Minister of Forest and Environment after the Congress made four ministers, has resigned from the post after the controversy. Now two ministries belonging to the Congress are vacant . There are nine Congress women MPs in Lumbini.
