Dr. Indra Dhakal has been retained as Medical Superintendent of Lumbini Regional Hospital Butwal. Dr Dhakal was appointed Mesu by the decision of Lumbini State Government on 18th June 2081.

After Dr. Bishnu Gautam, an 11th grader working in the hospital, approached the Supreme Court against the appointment of the government, the Supreme Court issued a short-term interim order to stop working as a maid immediately on June 17.

After the Supreme Court's decision on Sunday dismissed the petition filed by Dr. Gautam, Dr. Dhakal was reinstated as Medical Superintendent. According to the hospital administration, the bench of Supreme Court Judges Hari Phuyal and Abdul Aziz Muslim has given a directive order dismissing the writ of Dr. Gautam.

Mesu appointed Dr. Dhakal belongs to the 10th level. Dr. Gautam belongs to the 11th standard. It was Dr. Gautam's insistence that 11th level is required for Mesu and he cannot be appointed 10th level Doctor Mesu while he is working in that post. However, the hospital said that Dr. Gautam's writ was dismissed by the judgment of Sunday to implement the government's decision.

In Lumbini province's most crowded hospital, the regular work of administration, financial administration and other work were affected due to lack of mesh for three months.
