One person died in a road accident in Rupandehi. A person sitting behind the motorcycle died when a 'Chota Hatti' vehicle hit a motorcycle in Tilottama Municipality-5 Shankarpur Chowk.

On Friday, a motorcycle numbered Lu 52 P 9560, which was going from Butwal to Bhairawa, was hit from behind by a small elephant numbered Lu 3 Ch 1982, which was going in the same direction. Police said that 68-year-old Tej Bahadur Gurung of Tilottama-7 Semra Bazar, who was seriously injured in the collision, died during treatment at Crimson Hospital.

Similarly, Deputy Superintendent of Police Manohar Bhatt, spokesperson of District Police Office Rupandehi, informed that motorcycle rider Lil Bahadur Kamumgar, aged 64, resident of Tilottma-10 Model School, who was injured in the accident, is being treated. He said that the small elephant that hit and the driver were taken into custody and the investigation was started.
