Integrated Check Point Operation in Kalidah

Lumbini Cultural Municipality Chief Sajruddin Muslim, Deputy Chief Kalpana Harijan and Rupandehi Chief District Officer (DSO) Ganesh Aryal jointly inaugurated the integrated check point from Wednesday.

As the arrival of Indian tourists to visit Lumbini and other places related to the Buddha in Nepal, both individually and in groups, has started to increase, an integrated check point has been brought into operation for the convenience of Indian tourists.

According to Prazia Aryal, the unified check point has been brought into operation at Kalidah crossing due to increasing complaints that the tourists who enter Nepal by private and group vehicles are being checked at various places. "Customs, Nepal Police, Armed Police, Traffic Police at the Integrated Check Point will check the Indian tourists coming to Nepal through this border at one place," he said. '

Tourists and vehicles will be provided with a yellow card containing the driver's name, address, vehicle number, and destination details.

Since there is no immigration office at Kalihad crossing, tourists from third countries other than Indians have to come to Nepal through Sunauli/Belhia crossing. The integrated check point has been brought into operation at the initiative of the district administration office in coordination with the local municipality.

Earlier, an integrated check point was operated at Belhia checkpoint in Rupandehi on June 26.
