The dead body of an old woman has been found in the Chunbang river near Kungri Pachawang located in Pariwar Rural Municipality-4 of North Rolpa.
According to the police, the body was found in the river on Saturday. Police Inspector Keshavraj Barakoti, spokesman of the District Police Office, confirmed that the dead body belongs to Balkumari Pun, a resident of Bhume Rural Municipality-9 Chunbang- Simalbot, Rukum East, who went missing two days ago.
The Rolpa police said that the woman was missing on August 20 and the local police were informed for the search. An investigation team led by Deputy Inspector of Police Madhu Marasini has arrived from the area police office Ghartigaon. The incident site is about 60 km north of Liwang, the headquarters of Rolpa.
