Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chetnarayan Acharya has said that the quality of education in village schools and campuses has declined recently and it is a matter of concern to go to the city.

Acharya, who came to his home district for the first time after being appointed as the Chief Minister, inspected the Jyoti Bhaviswar Multipurpose Campus in Shitganga Municipality-3 on Thursday and asked the school management committee, campus management to improve the quality of education in village schools and colleges and to end the compulsion of children to camp and migrate in the city for education. He said that all the committee and teachers should be involved.

The Lumbini state government allocated a budget of 50 lakhs in the financial year 2076/077 for the construction of campus buildings. From that budget, the work of building the physical infrastructure of CAMs has progressed. 46 lakh 71 thousand budget was also received from the University Grants Commission to add a floor to the same building and build classrooms. Campus head Vishnu Bhattarai said that although there is no shortage of classrooms for teaching in the campus, the state and local governments should pay attention to building the remaining infrastructure.

The state government has done the work of laying the foundation of infrastructure. We have completed the building with the help of the donors here," he said. "Now we need desks, benches and toilets." Faculty of management and education have been teaching in graduation. Currently, 138 students are studying in the campus.
