A dead body of a man was found in Beltari of Mathagadhi rural municipality-3, Kaseni, Palpa on Wednesday. Police said that the dead body belonged to 56-year-old Man Bahadur Kumal of Tansen Municipality-9. Kumar Kumal had been missing from home since Monday. Ward president of Tansen-9 Rajesh Kumar Aryal said that Kumal might have been swept away by the river as he was found with slippers in his hand.

A fisherman in the river informed the police after seeing the body. After that, a police team reached the spot under the command of a police assistant inspector from the temporary police post Madiphant and a police inspector from the district police office Palpa. After preliminary investigation, the body has been sent to District Hospital Palpa for post-mortem. Deputy Superintendent of Police and Information Officer Sugandha Shrestha informed that further investigation is being done regarding the

incident. Lower Simalghat (Beltari) connecting Mathagadhi-3 and Tansen-9 is also a ghat for students as well as general public. Although the budget has been allocated to build a suspension bridge at this place for three years, the bridge has not been constructed.
