Telephone and internet services have been disrupted in Rolpa for two days. The Nepal Telecom Rolpa office has informed that since Tuesday morning, the internet service to Rolpa has been interrupted. Head of the office Vrishab Upadhyay informed that efforts are being made to provide service quickly by repairing the line.

According to the office, there has been a problem with fiber connecting the Internet in Bhalubang and Lamhi areas of Dang. Due to the rainy season and the damaged roads in the area, the internet poles were damaged and the service was disrupted. Due to the problem in the fiber, the service in the landline and fiber line distributed by Telecom has been completely stopped.

When there is a problem in the network, there is also a problem in the mobile operation. There is a problem of not hearing the sound on the mobile, cutting the sound and not connecting even when calling. Internet problems have affected the media, government offices, private sector and common people. There is a problem due to lack of internet in the banking sector which is doing business through digital means.

Nepal Telecom has distributed internet service to about 4 thousand customers in the main market area including Rolpa headquarters Libang. According to the latest technology, landline phones are distributed through fiber lines, so when there is a problem with the fiber line, there are problems with the phone and the Internet at the same time.

Internet services distributed by the private sector in Rolpa have not been affected. Consumers allege that because Telecom is not able to provide the service effectively and the private sector is allowed to deliver the service before them, the service is expensive.
