Pampha Bhusal, vice president of CPN-Maoist Center, said that women should be in the forefront for the defense and implementation of the constitution. Inaugurating the first conference of All Nepal Mahila Sangh (Krantikari) Gandaki Province at the White House Party Palace in Pokhara, Bhusal mentioned that women have been at the forefront of every movement for rights in the past.
Former minister Bhusal said that although the constitution represented 33 percent of women, now 51 percent participation is mandatory.
It will be claimed that the 'people's war' conducted by the then CPN-Maoist was successful only because of the women's struggle. Remembering the last meeting in Gorkha and the beginning of the people's war, she said that thousands of women played an important role in the people's war.
Stating that those who declared a crisis and set a price for the head have also moved forward in the agenda of the Maoists, she said, 'The federal democratic republic was brought about by the people's war . While the Constitution Day is being celebrated today, women, Dalits and the disabled, who are the most oppressed and deprived of their rights, have been made inclusive and proportionate in the constitution.'
When raising the issue of republicanism, he alleged that those who said 'you cannot reach America by climbing Bayalgadha' are now opposing the constitution. In the
program, the founder presidents of 11 districts of Akhil Nepal Mahila Sangh Krantikari and three jailbreakers (Kamala Naharki, Neeta Vik and Sanju Kumal) and injured Goma Ghimire were honoured. While 500 women representatives have come from 11 districts of the province, organizers said that more than 1,000 have participated. The conference will elect a new leadership .
