Bensisahar-Dumre road has been blocked due to a landslide at Bensisahar municipality-1, Udipur road construction site.
According to Traffic Police Office Lamjung, vehicular movement has been stopped after the flood has piled up Gegran in Udipur market. Traffic Police Assistant Inspector Rajaram Paudel said that the road was blocked due to the continuous rain and landslides around 5:30 pm on Sunday.
After the road was blocked, Lamjung Headquarters Bensi Sahar as well as for areas above Bensi Sahar Vehicles coming from federal capital Kathmandu, state capital Pokhara as well as Chitwan are stopped at Udipur market. Similarly, the vehicles coming out of the Bensi Sahar market are stopped in the direction of Bensi Sahar.
According to DSP Min Bahadur Ghale, Chief of District Police Office, it is raining and it has caused a landslide in Udipur landslide in Lamjung section of Bensisahar-Dumre road.
He said that efforts are being made to open the road. For this, he said, the police have been deployed under the leadership of Police Inspector Chonu Gurung of Bhoteodar Area Police Office.
