Vimala Bhandari has been appointed as the press registrar of Gandaki province. He was appointed as the press registrar by the cabinet meeting of the state government held on Friday. She is also the president of Nepal Journalist Federation Kaski.
The tenure of the press registrar is four years. The Gandaki State Mass Communication Act, 2080 provides for the appointment of Press Registrar. He is one of the two district presidents elected as the president of the Federation of Journalists. During her three-year tenure of the federation, she did exemplary work in the Kaski branch. During his tenure, e-library and resource center were established in Kaski branch.
She started journalism from radio and has spent 25 years in this field.
