A district post office has been established in East Nawalparasi. With the implementation of federalism, after Nawalparasi district was divided into Lumbini and Gandaki provinces, there was no district post office in Nawalpur.
The work of Nawalpur region of Gandaki province was also done from the office at Parasi in West Nawalparasi under Lumbini province.
In the absence of a district post office, there was a compulsion to go to Parasi for work such as renewal of newspapers, payment of public welfare advertisements, renewal of FM radio. The post office in Kawasoti was converted into a district post office and started working Kesh Bahadur Khandalu, Acting Head of District Post Office Kawasoti said. Along with the establishment of
offices, municipal level post offices have also been established in all 8 municipalities of the district. Birendra Parajuli, president of the Journalist Federation of Nawalpur, said that after the establishment of the office, the need to go to another state, especially for the renovation of the communication media in the district, has been removed.
