Tagging for conservation

Mohan Shandilya, Head of the Division Forest Office, said that the goal is to protect and develop the natural plot of Loth Salla, which is about two hectares in area, as a place to collect cuttings.

Similarly, Chiuri plot has been protected in Pipaldanda and Panchbhai Chiuri confessional forest area under Gandaki rural municipality-1. A conservation campaign has been started by forming a cluster of Chiuri in the Gandaki rural municipality area.

'We have protected chiuri for the purpose of collecting seeds,' he said, 'now we are preparing to produce chiuri from the nursery of Chiuri division forest office.' More than 160 chiuri plants in the forest area have also been tagged.
