Goods worth about 1.2 million rupees, which were brought by evading customs, have been seized by the police at Kawasoti in East Nawalparasi.
Based on the suspicion that the goods were being brought in without a bill by evading the customs, the police seized the goods while checking the vehicle at Falful Chowk in Kawasoti.
According to DSP Bed Bahadur Paudel of District Police Office East Nawalparasi, 20 different types of items were seized. Among the recovered items are brass items, mobile phone parts, smart watches, glasses, creams and other items.
The value of the recovered goods has been fixed at 11 lakh seventy one thousand four hundred rupees and has been sent to the customs office of West Nawalparasi, Maheshpur.
