On the occasion of the 62nd Foundation Day of Nepal Red Cross Society, the Red Cross Kawasoti sub-branch has put the mortuary vehicle into operation.

Baburam Kandel, chairman of the sub-branch, said that after buying a vehicle for 750,000 rupees from its own internal resources, it was put into operation as a hearse vehicle.

There is no corpse vehicle in the district and there is a problem in getting a vehicle to take the body to the ghat for the last rites. The organization has made a procedure for the operation of the hearse. According to which the black paper on the road is 130 per km, 215 rupees per km on unpaved roads and 400 rupees per km on mountain roads.

The Red Cross Kawasaki sub-branch has been operating the body vehicle, ambulance, blood bank .
