Police have arrested a person who cheated more than 1 crore by saying that he will send them to Australia.
According to District Police DSP Bed Bahadur Paudel, 39-year-old Pritam Giri, a resident of Kawasoti Municipality-17, was arrested based on the complaint of Aravindu Kumar Chaudhary.
Giri was arrested on Wednesday while hiding in Gaindakot Municipality-2 Bhrikuti Chowk, the police said. A complaint has been lodged with the police that he cheated 1 crore from different people.
The Foreign Employment Department also issued a circular to arrest Giri for the crime related to foreign employment fraud.
