A leopard was found in an injured condition in a dhap located in Virenchok, Gorkha Municipality-10. After finding the leopard unable to walk on Wednesday afternoon, the locals informed the division forest office.
Mahesh Paudel, information officer of Division Forest Office informed that efforts were made to rescue the leopard till Wednesday night, but it was not successful.
'The leopard has been found in an injured state, we could not rescue it until the evening,' he said, 'We will wait until tomorrow morning, if it goes to its natural habitat, we will not have to rescue it, otherwise we are preparing to send a technician for rescue.'
Conservation Fund Sauraha and Wildlife Rescue Center Pokhara's technical support is being coordinated He said. "It was under our surveillance until the evening, the leopard was seen in a condition where it could not get up, we did not see the possibility of causing human damage," he said.
