The Bensisahar-Dumre road has been blocked after a landslide occurred at the road construction site of Bensisahar Municipality 1, Udipur. According to Traffic Police Office Lamjung, vehicular movement has been stopped after the flood has piled up garbage in Udipur market.
According to Traffic Police Assistant Inspector Bhim Bahadur Ranabhat, the landslide occurred around 8:30 am on Sunday morning along with incessant rain. Also, the road was blocked after the flood dumped garbage on the road.
After the road was blocked, the only road from Lamjung headquarters Besi Sahar to the federal capital Kathmandu, state capital Pokhara and Chitwan was blocked.
The vehicles going to Kathmandu-Pokhara-Chitwan have stopped in the middle of the road. Thaneshwar Chapai, police inspector of the district police office, said that it has been raining since the night and it has caused a landslide in Udipur landslide of Lamjung section of Benisahar-Dumre road where a landslide had occurred earlier. He said that it is raining and the road will be opened as soon as the rain stops.
