Money was stolen by breaking open the donation box inside the Shiva temple in Nareshwar Bhanjyang, Gorkha Municipality-3. Thapa, a local farmer, said that the donation box inside the temple was stolen by breaking the main gate on Sunday night.
"The donation box inside the main gate was broken and the money was stolen," he said. "Today (Monday) morning, we found the donation box one hundred meters away from the temple."
"The donation box was also big, a lot of money was collected during Shivratri and now it is full," he said, "Coins Apart from that, all the notes have been stolen. Thapa said that the money collected since Shivratri has been stolen.
"We were planning to do some new work during Dashain. There were conch shells, bells and other worship materials on the donation box, they took it away and carried the donation box to a distance." On Monday morning, the locals reported the theft of the donation box inside the temple to the police.
The police have also started investigating the incident. He also said that a hummer was found where the donation box was left.
