Unaffiliated people have been organized into rare blood groups in East Nawalparasi. A nine-member district working committee was formed under the chairmanship of Som Subedi at a gathering of people with rare blood groups in Kawasoti on Saturday.

Negative blood group is considered to be the rarest blood group in the world. It is estimated that 1.5 percent of people in the world have this blood. Som Subedi has been elected as the president of the first district working committee of

committee, Soni Shrestha as the vice president, Ramesh Bastakoti as the secretary and Nenuka Shrestha as the treasurer. Vikram Karki, Gobind Dhakal, Lokendra Vayambu, Ramchandra Sapkota and Smriti Bhusal Neupane have been selected as

members. Secretary Bastakoti informed that 2 members including joint secretary and joint treasurer of the

committee will be selected by the meeting of the district working committee.

About 5 dozen locals of this blood group participated in the meeting held on Saturday at the Red Cross office in Kawasoti.
