Andhikhola rural municipality of Syangja reached Pokhara (province capital) on Friday and provided services to its citizens.

Under the leadership of Andhikhola rural municipality chairman Vishwa Paudel, a team of ward presidents and staff arrived here to visit the residents of Andhikhola-2 in Pokhara and renew their social security allowance identity cards. Previously, the same team had provided services for the residents of Ward No. 1 and 3 in Pokhara.

The allowance card of senior citizens, disabled, single women, Dalit children under 5 years of age has been renewed, said Paudel, president of Andhi Khola. "It costs 3,000 rupees per person to renew the card from here," he said.

He told that as the people's representative is the servant of the people, it is his duty to reach the place where the people live. There are only 6 wards in Andihola. He said that the renovation of 1 and 3 of them has been completed. So far, 131 people from Ward No. 1 have renewed and 41 people from Ward No. 3 have renewed . Only 36 people have been renewed in Ward No. 2 on Friday.
