Akkale Majhi, who disappeared after being swept away by the river, has been found dead. Makwanpur police said that Majhi's body was found dead in the bank of Bakaiya river in Kolhvi Municipality-2 of Bara on Monday afternoon.

A team from the local police office, Nijgarh Bara, was dispatched to the spot and after completing the legal process, the body was sent to the provincial hospital Kalaiya for post-mortem.

District Makwanpur Police Office has informed that the dead body belongs to Akkale Majhi, aged 42 years, resident of Chandrapur Municipality-2, Judibela, Rautahat, and was identified by Bhimar Majhi, the father of the deceased, quoting Kohlvi, District Police Office.

Majhi was swept away by the Bakaiya river last Friday while going to his in-laws' house in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-6 Juina. He was working in the Jaspal section located at Bakia-6 under the under-construction Kathmandu-Madhesh-Tarai Expressway.
