Women are empowered through economic revolution: Minister Khadgi

Addressing a special Teej program held on Tuesday in Bethanchok Rural Municipality of Kavre, Minister Khadgi said that the next fight should be for economic revolution. 'Teez festival, red color festival, red color is considered to be a symbol of power,' she said while wishing Nepali Hindu women's festival of Teej, 'the symbol of this color also indicates that women have power in themselves, they should be empowered by recognizing their own power.'

She said that women also played an important role in bringing democracy to the country. According to him, it is seen that women are empowered educationally, economically, socially and politically. According to the constitutional rights, it seems that women are the leaders in all 753 local levels. She suggested that there is a need to further empower the women of the village and for this, programs such as training and orientation should be carried out.

He said that women should be given the post of Home Minister and Prime Minister of the country instead of being called 'Home Minister' and 'Prime Minister'. She urged them to end the corruption and bad culture rooted in the society and protect themselves, art, culture and culture. In the

program, Wagmati State Assembly member Kanchanchandra Bade said that the overall development of the country is possible only through the empowerment of women.

Bhagwan Adhikari, chairman of Bethanchok rural municipality, said that the rural municipality is conducting various programs for women empowerment. He said that the rural municipality has started this financial year's women-targeted Teej program as a campaign to empower women.
