The police have released two people who were arrested on Thursday night with fake notes. Those arrested are Nazare Alam and Imamul Haque Darzi of Godaita Municipality-8 of Sarlahi.
They were arrested with 13 fake notes of Nepali 1000 by the team deployed from the area police office, Chandranigahapur. District Police Office Rautahat Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Eliza Giri said that an investigation is underway to find out where the fake notes came from. "The involvement of other groups is also being investigated," she said. The gang dealing in fake notes seems to be active in the
district for the last 3 years . Earlier In December 2078, the police team deployed from Rautahat border police post Motipur Narkatia arrested Vikash Jaiswal and Ajay Prasad from India Bihar from Narkatia in Paroha Municipality-8 with 69 notes of 1000 and 1 note of 500.
A week after that, in December 2078, the police arrested Shatrudhan Varai Thakur of Dhanusha Batteswar Rural Municipality-4, Ranjit Mahato of Mahottari Bardiwas Municipality-9 and Dipendra Kumar Mahato of Premnagar, Mahottari Bhangaha Municipality-4, along with 9 lakh 93 thousand Nepalese currency notes. .
