Devvikram Rai has won the chairmanship of CPN UML Khotang. After failing to reach an agreement in the eighth district convention, Rai won the presidency by defeating the outgoing president Ram Prasad Dangal in the election held on Friday. Devvikram got 339 votes and Ram Prasad got 187 votes.

Similarly, Kumar Acharya has won the position of vice president. He got 395 votes. His competitor Upin Kumar Rai got 134 votes.

Rajankumar Banjara has won by getting 140 votes for Deputy Secretary. Girendra Bahadur Rai got 135 votes, Dilchakra Rai got 62, Dinesh Rai got 49, Gopikrishna Khadka got 33, Yuvraj Rizal got 24 and Kamal Dhakal got 23 votes.

Kavita Rai won in women's deputy secretary by getting 412 votes. His candidate Bhagwati Pradhan got 89 votes.

Surendra Kumar Rai has been elected unopposed as secretary.
