With the onset of summer season, as in previous years, this time too, mosquitoes have increased in Kathmandu and dengue outbreaks have also started to appear. This time the number of dengue infected is increasing day by day. Just last year, some member of every household was affected by dengue during the summer season. Similarly, the hospital was overcrowded with dengue patients. Perhaps this incident has not been forgotten by anyone affected by dengue.

It cannot be said that it will not be the same this time. At present, there is no proper waste management in all parts of Kathmandu. The pits around public places and houses look like that. Moreover, due to the road construction work, water has accumulated on the road.

Therefore, it is very necessary for the concerned body to complete the water catchment pits of those places as well as conduct public awareness programs about dengue control in Toltol more carefully. Otherwise it may take the form of an epidemic again this time.

Let's take care of ourselves and keep our yard clean. If there are pits around the house, fill them in time. Also, let's sleep with a hammock to avoid mosquito bites.
