Deputy Speaker Indira Ranamar has said that it is too late to make a policy on air pollution and implement it. In an event held in Kathmandu on Saturday, Deputy Speaker Ranamar said that she was discussing the formulation of a policy related to air pollution through an open forum.
He said that senior citizens, children and women are being affected a lot due to climate change and air pollution.
She said, ''In education too, we should have an inclusive framework. From counseling the disabled to what kind of environment do they need? We should also think about that. The children of brick kiln workers have to face a lot of hardships. Bricks made from smoke directly affect the child. Even if we look at the statistics of the world, many people are dying due to smoke pollution. Such things should be torn apart.'
She said that due to air pollution, the health of many women, senior citizens and children is being affected and because of that, they are also dying.
