The Nepali Army team is going to arrive in London on Monday, September 9, for one of the world's famous exercises. A team of 10 members of the Nepali Army is going to participate in the 'Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2024' to be held in Brecon, Wales, United Kingdom. The exercise will run from October 4 to 13.
It is considered to be the British Army's premier patrol event and is organized by HQ 160th Wales Brigade . Last year in 2023, 113 teams applied for this exercise, out of which 38 teams were international. The British Army says its aim is to provide a challenging world-class patrol exercise to increase operational capability.
The Cambrian Patrol application is conducted annually among selected all three services (regular and reserve forces) and foreign military units. The exercise will be for 10 days in eight phases at the rate of 48 hours. Each patrol will cover about 60 km (average ascent and descent over a thousand meters) and carry 35 kg per person . The British Army says that all participants should be prepared to face the challenge both mentally and physically as the
exercise is very rigorous. Last year, the Nepali Army won a silver medal in this exercise.
