The 'Intra Cup-2024' football tournament for Americans of Nepalese origin has started on Friday at the Copley Soccer Complex located in the city of Akron, Ohio, USA.

On the men's side, there are three different groups of games under 30 years old, youth from 30 to 39 years old and veterans over 40 years old. There will be an inter-state level competition for women. Similarly, there will be a competition between the teams of teenagers below 16 years of age.

In collaboration with the Peace Zone Club, organized by the Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America, 34 teams have been registered for youth and veterans.
29 teams have been registered for teenage girls. Dilli Adhikari, president of Intra Foundation, inaugurated this competition in which approximately fourteen hundred players from all age groups and all teams participated. He said that these games were organized with the aim of bringing together the sports lovers of the Nepali-speaking society in America and Canada to promote mutual brotherhood and develop disciplined competitiveness. According to Chandra Parajuli, coordinator of the
venue, 34 teams from America and Canada have participated in the youth and veterans. Pathari FC, Chujan FC, Junior Young Guys XI, Sangrila Youth FC, Everest United, Texas Thunder, Timai Swaid, Chuke FC, Daddy FC, Akron United are participating in the under-30 youth team. Under 40 Senior Youth are Rajababu FC, United Brothers, Harrisburg Veterans, Himalayan Hawks, Saginaw FC, Cincy Inta FC, North Carolina United, FC Revival, Three Rivers Veterans, Michigan Youth FC, Next Gen G FC and Kentucky Veterans . Similarly, Columbus Veterans, NY Inta FC, Pittsburgh Veterans, Saginaw Veterans, FC Revival, Serenity FC, Piszone Academy and Harrisburg Veterans FC are competing in the 40+ veterans group. On the women's side, the competition is between Piszone Academy Girls, Mountaineers FC, North Dakota Signing Stars and Yoddha FC.
Informing that the Foundation is doing various programs for the comprehensive development of Nepalese people, the organizing organization also said that a large volleyball tournament was organized in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania from September 13 to 15.
