A pub and restaurant belonging to a Nepali businessman in Northern Ireland, UK has been set on fire. Abjan Acharya, a businessman, said that the Railway Bar and Steam Dining in Ballyclare Road, Newtown AB was set on fire by throwing a petrol bomb at around 1:50 on Tuesday night.

After the arson, 'Muslim Out' was written on the pub's wall. The police called the incident a racially motivated hate crime. Stating that right-wing groups may have started the fire, Acharya said that the police are investigating the incident.

Businessman Acharya has said that he had to close his pub and restaurant due to complete damage after the fire. He also said that it is impossible to operate again in the same place.

Acharya started the business last March by investing around one lakh pounds.

"I was born in a Hindu family, brought up and educated in Belfast, I never imagined that my skin color and religion would make us the target of such a despicable act", said Acharya.

Acharya, whose permanent home is Baglung, has been in Britain since 2006. Acharya, the former president of the Nepali Community in Northern Ireland, also said that the Nepali community is horrified by such a heinous ethnic incident. However, he says that the local community, police and political parties have given full support.

There was a week-long violent riot in Britain just a few weeks ago. The riots, which were carried out by right-wing groups targeting immigrants and Muslims, are considered the most violent in 13 years.

The National Police Chiefs Council has reported that 1,024 people have been arrested and 575 charged in violent riots in the UK.

Violence broke out after a 17-year-old man stabbed and killed three girls aged 6, 7 and 9 in Southport, northwest England, on July 29.

Although the police said that the young man suspected of killing the girl was born in Britain, the right-wing spread rumors that the young man was a refugee and a Muslim. Anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim protests then turned violent.
