The Medical Education Commission has released the revised results correcting the error in the MBBS entrance exam results.

According to the commission, the merit order of the students who obtained the same marks should be maintained on the basis of 'tiebreak', since it was based on the roll number. The commission also admitted that there was a technical error in the public MBBS results on Friday.

'The ranking of the candidates with equal marks should be maintained on the basis of tie-break, so due to a technical error, it was published on the basis of roll number, so the previously published result has been revised according to the Commission's records, and as per the decision of the joint meeting of the Medical Education Commission Executive Committee and the Integrated Entrance Examination Committee, the basis of the tie-break has also been published. Six,' said in the notice issued by Deputy Secretary of the Commission, Dhan Bahadur Shrestha.

The list was published only on the basis of roll number as the merit should be maintained on the basis of the marks obtained in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics respectively when the examinees got the same marks. Krishna Prasad Kapri, member secretary of the commission, said that the error was caused by human weakness rather than malice. "The Commission has accepted that there was an error. As soon as it became known that there was a weakness, the commission and the examination committee left the meeting and corrected the results," he said. It is estimated that the result of about 3000 students has changed based on the

result tie-break. According to the Commission, only the merit order of the candidates who obtained the same marks in the revised results has been changed. It is mentioned in the notification issued by Deputy Secretary Shrestha that the merit order of other candidates remains the same and there is no change in the marks obtained by all the examinees.

Vice President Anjani Kumar Jha said that the commission decided to allow interested students to view answer sheets and OMR sheets after the examinees raised questions about the credibility of the examination and the question paper.

After the error in the MBBS results became public, the Co-Chairperson of the Commission and Education Minister Vidya Bhattarai discussed with the officials. According to the Ministry of Education, on Monday, the vice-chairman of Docker Commission Jhal and the directors and officials of the examination committee were questioned.

The official informed Minister Bhattarai that the error occurred due to human weakness. The results of the public health issue published by the commission were also corrected after errors. In the result of the said subject, the roll number of one student and the name of another student were published.
