Indian President Draupadi Murmu has invited Narendra Modi to form a new government on Friday. Rashtriya Janatantrik Morcha (NDA) informed President Murmu that Modi has been chosen as its leader and that he has the support of the majority of members.

Modi is scheduled to take oath for the third consecutive term on Sunday evening. The President's office has fixed the time of swearing in at 7:15 pm. After winning two elections in 2014 and 2019, Modi has been the Prime Minister for 10 consecutive years. Even though his party BJP did not get a single majority in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Modi is going to become the Prime Minister with the support of the coalition parties.

India's 543-member Lok Sabha requires the support of a simple majority of 272 members to form a government. BJP has won 240 seats. The NDA alliance led by the BJP has won 293 seats.

Other prominent Telugu Desam Party leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Janata Dal United leader Nitish Kumar pledged to support Modi and Modi was relieved. Naidu's party won 16 seats and Nitish's party won 12 seats. These two parties have been decisive in making Modi the Prime Minister for the third time.

Modi met the President after being elected as the leader of the NDA parliamentary party. Also, BJP founding leaders LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi went to his residence to meet him. He also visited former President Ram Nath Kovind at his residence.

In the NDA parliamentary party meeting, Bihar Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish said that they are ready to work under Modi's leadership.

"If someone wants to do things here and there, there is no benefit," he said. Ever since the result of the vote, he was being suspected from all sides. However, in the program, Nitish said that they will always be with Modi to convince him.

'It is very happy that the person who has been the Prime Minister for 10 years is becoming the Prime Minister again, he has served the entire country,' he said. 'We are completely with him.' He praised Modi by saying.

After being elected as the leader from the NDA meeting, Modi said that the previous 10 years of work was only a trailer and he said that all the old records of work will be broken now. He described the 'NDA' alliance as New India, Develop India and Aspiration India.

Attacking the opposition, he said that in ten years, the Congress has not achieved even 100 seats and said that the BJP has won more seats this time than the Congress won in the last three elections. He asked where they lost because NDA will be in government before 2024 or now.

He said that EVMs have answered the questions and doubts raised by the opposition parties about EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines). He also expressed his displeasure over the allegations leveled against the Election Commission. He said that the intention of making many accusations against the constitutional institution is to question the results later. During the election, the opposition parties raised questions about the Commission and EVMs.

He said that while he was campaigning that India was the 'Mother of Democracy', the opposition was saying that democracy was over. "An attempt has been made to spread confusion as to how the person selling tea reached there, something has gone wrong," he said, "People who are against progress and modernity are in the Indy Alliance."
