Manchester City played a disappointing goalless draw against Inter Milan in their first match of the European Champions League-2024. In the Wednesday night match at the Etihad, Inter presented a strong defensive model.
The other two major clubs, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), were successful in winning. Dortmund defeated Club Brugge 3-0. Jamie Jitens scored two goals in this victory.
In PSG's 1-0 victory over Girona, an own goal was decisive. In the 90th minute of the game, Girona goalkeeper Paul Gazzaniga directed the ball to his own post.
In the next match, Celtic recorded an impressive 5-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava.
