The team including the players who returned after participating in the Asian Trial Masters Championship was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Rajan Khatri, vice president of Nepal Adventure Running Federation and Nanda Basyal, a member of Rakhepa, welcomed the team of athletes on Tuesday.

Nepal won 3 gold and 1 bronze medal in the competition held in Sabah, Malaysia from September 12 to 15.

Priya Rai completed the women's 78 km distance in 10 hours 59 minutes 48 seconds and won the gold medal. Rashila Tamang of Nepal won bronze in the same category. Rashila, the previous year's winner, completed the distance in 13 hours, 15 minutes and 9 seconds.

5 players from Nepal participated in women's event, Chhoki Sherpa placed seventh, Padamkumari Sunuwar placed eighth and Angfurwa Sherpa placed 22nd. 35 players were competing.

4 players from Nepal competed in men's 78 km distance. Arjun Kulung Rai finished 10th, Lokendra Rai 14th, Phurpasingh Tamang 22nd and Milan Rai finished 27th in the event with 45 runners. In the

group competition, both the men's and women's teams of Nepal came first.
