Bahadur Singh Lama, the Chief Minister of Wagmati Province, has promised that the provincial government will work seriously in the development of the sports sector.

While inaugurating the volleyball tournament which started at Huprachaur located in Hetounda sub-metropolitan city-4 on Tuesday referring to the Constitution Day, Chief Minister Lama promised that the state government will work for the benefit of sports and athletes. "Games and players define the nation. The provincial government has taken it seriously,' he said, 'we are focused on how to develop sports, and create an environment that promotes the province and the nation through sports.' "For the development of the overall sports sector, the Ministry of Sports Development and the Provincial Sports Development Council and the government will move forward by coordinating with each other," he said.

The provincial government is organizing various programs for three days with reference to the Constitution Day on October 3. At the same time, Nepal's national sports volleyball tournament was organized. Government Spokesperson and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Surajchandra Lamichhane and Member Secretary of Provincial Sports Development Council Deepak Lama were present at the opening ceremony of the competition.
