The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has finalized the name of the marquee players of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Kathmandu got Karan KC as the marquee player from the 'lucky draw' held on Saturday.
Pokhara got Kushal Bhurtel, Chitwan got Kushal Mall, Biratnagar got Sandeep Lamichhane and Lumbini got Rohit Paudel. Similarly, Janakpur got Asif Sheikh, Karnali got Sompal Kami and Sudurpaschim got Dipendra Singh Airi as marquee players.
Kathmandu got the first player from the 'lucky draw'. Similarly, Pokhara, Chitwan, Biratnagar, Lumbini, Janakpur, Karnali and Sudurpaschim have been ranked second to eighth. The NPL tournament will be held in Kathmandu from November 15th to December 6th.
Each marquee player will get Rs 20 lakh as salary. A marquee player has to play for three years. The franchise team will have the right to retain and release marquee players and for this they will have to coordinate with Can.
