APF Club, the defending champions in the ANFA Women's Football League, continued their unbeaten run on Thursday. APF defeated Waling Municipality 2-1 in the match at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Earlier another departmental team Army Club defeated Wagmati Yuva Club by 3-0.
Renuka Nagarkote and Rashmikumari Ghising scored in APF's victory. In the 12th minute of the game, Renuka scored from outside the box after being passed by Saru Limbu. Rashmi added the second goal in the 38th minute. In the first through pass, Rashmi beat Walling's goalkeeper Radhika Oli and scored.
With 10 minutes to go, Sisi Ntongo pulled a goal back for Walling. She headed Anjali Machamsi's pass onto the post. After this win, APF has 10 points from 4 games and has climbed to second place. Walling finished fifth with 6 points from 4 games.
As expected, APF failed to win easily. However, the Army's victory was as expected. After this result, Army has 9 points. Wagmati was defeated in the third game in a row. The team finished seventh with 3 points. Vimala Chaudhary and Amisha Karki scored one goal each from Army. Another goal was suicide.
Vimala scored the first goal in the 26th minute. For this she used Hima Chaudhary's pass. Amisha's goal was possible in the 61st minute. In a situation where control over the ball was lost, she created an opportunity and scored a goal to watch. Sanju Thing scored an own goal in the 90th minute of the game.
