Cuban wrestler Mizen Lopez achieved a historic success at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. He became the first player in Olympic history to win gold in the same event in five consecutive editions.
Along with this, he has surpassed the performance of four consecutive Olympic gold medals in the same event held by Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps. Lopez, who turns 42 next week, defeated Chile's Yasmani Acosta in the 130kg final of the Greco Roman event.
Acosta is also a Cuban wrestler. He represented Chile after not being able to play for his country. After the incredible victory, Lopez said that the only secret to such success is hard work .
