Julien Alfred of St. Louis won the coveted gold in the women's 100 meters at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday. This is the first medal won by St. Louis in Olympic history.

The 23-year-old finished the race in 10.72 seconds at the Stade de France. American world champion Sakari Richardson was second and Malaysia Jefferson of America was third.

In gymnastics, American Simone Biles won gold in women's vault. This is his third gold in this Olympics. In the same swimming, Kathy Ledsky of America won gold in 800 meters freestyle.

This is his fourth gold in this Paris Olympics. In the medal table, China and the United States took the top two positions. Host France is third. China has 16 gold, 12 silver and nine bronze. America has 14 gold, 24 silver and 23 bronze. Similarly, France has won 12 gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze
